Nicolle Wallace: You Can Never Separate Bannon’s Legacy From Racism

Given that Steve Bannon‘s ouster took place one week after Charlottesville, MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace suspects that some people might believe that the two developments are related. But she — emphatically — does not.“This wasn’t a knee jerk reaction to Charlottesville,” Wallace said. “It’s really important not to give them that much credit.”

“Bannon’s legacy is obviously — you can never separate it from racism and from Charlottesville,” Wallace said. “Obviously being embroiled in such an ugly chapter of American life around the rise and emboldening of white supremacy is the appropriate lead,” she said.
